KINESIOLOGY TAPE FOR RECOVERY / PERFORMANCE / PREVENTION

  • Use Knee Tape to Protect Your Knees against Injury

Before undertaking strenuous activities where you will be bending your knees, it is worthwhile to protect your knees using knee tape. This special type of tape is designed to provide added support to the muscles to help lower the likelihood of sustaining an injury, compared to not using any taping product. In addition, the tape helps protect people who have already had a previous knee injury, as well as those recovering from a current injury.

The knee tape integrates with the body so that you do not realize it is there. The weave pattern of the tape is uniquely designed to provide elasticity and move as your knee and leg moves. As a result, it replicates the same elasticity and thickness of your skin, while supporting and stabilizing the area, without adversely affecting your normal range of motion.

Besides protecting your knees, you can apply the same type of tape to multiple regions on your body. With many precut designs available, it is possible to increase support for your ankles, elbows, wrists, shoulder, neck, back, groin, and other muscle groups. Go ahead and tape your entire body when you want complete protection for all of your muscle groups.

SpiderTech knee and body tape is made from 100 percent breathable cotton and is completely latex-free. It is completely waterproof, so you do not have to worry about the tape coming off if it gets wet. You can wear the tape for up to five days at a time before it has to be changed.

  • What Makes SpiderTech Kinesiology Tape Different?

SpiderTech kinesiology tape is different from other forms of kinesiology elastic therapeutic taping products, in several ways. One of the most noticeable innovations is our pre-cut design. This convenience makes it simple and easy to apply the tape. There is no measuring, cutting, or waste common with other rolled tape products. Many of the designs can be applied by yourself so you do not need assistance applying it to several areas of your body. In addition, you are able to achieve and reproduce the same results every time you wear the tape.

All SpiderTech kinesiology tape products are specifically created to simulate the thickness, elasticity, and weight of the human skin. They are made from 100 percent cotton with a poly-acrylic adhesive, which leaves no sticky residues once the tape is removed. You also do not have to worry about allergic reactions, as the tape is hypoallergenic and latex free.

SpiderTech taping products may be worn differently, depending upon the desired functionality you want to achieve. If you are using it to prevent injuries or provide support for your posture, it should be applied in a shortened position. On the other hand, if you are wearing it to alleviate pain and discomfort from an injury, it is attached differently to the body, as outlined in the included instructions.

The tape is designed to be worn in a variety of conditions, even while performing strenuous exercises or participating in sporting events. The tape is waterproof, lasts for up to five days, and available in several fashionable colors. • Get Relief from Muscle Pain by Applying Kinetic Tape

Kinetic tape can help bring relief from muscle pain, soreness and discomfort when worn on a regular basis. The tape helps to normalize your nerve responses by altering them by creating enhanced sensory stimulation to the affected area of your body. This essentially disrupts the normal pain signals and causes them to diminish. As a result, you notice a marked difference and reduction in discomfort.

Prevent Re-Injury and Reduce Chronic Pain with Kinetic Tape

You can continue to wear kinetic tape after an injury has healed or if you suffer from chronic conditions, such as arthritis. Long term usage of the tape provides support and strength to your muscles, without restricting their range of motion. For instance, if you notice your lower back starts to hurt after sitting at your desk all day, using the tape daily helps maintain proper posture and prevent low back pain. Instead of feeling sore and uncomfortable after a long work day, you end up noticing little to no discomfort whatsoever, depending upon your overall health and wellness.

Applying the tape before strength training, exercising, or other strenuous activities helps reduce the likelihood of causing re-injury to a recently healed area of your body. The tape provides an added layer of protection to keep your muscles safe and avoid over-extending them. The tape helps pull the thin layers of the skin open, and increases blood flow and circulation to the area to promote healthy muscle responses.

  • Lower Risks of Injury and Increase Healing Times with Sports Tape

Sustaining injuries while playing sports is not enjoyable since these could take you out of the game for the rest of the season. You might tear your groin muscle, twist and sprain your ankle, strain the muscles in your back, or have multiple injuries. One way to reduce the likelihood of receiving injuries as you play sports is to use sports tape. Athletic tape provides additional support and protection to multiple areas of your body, without affecting your range of motion. Just keep in mind, wearing the tape does not make you invincible, but can mean the difference between a serious injury which keeps you benched and one where you only miss a few games.

After being injured, sports tape can help reduce healing times and provide support to the damaged muscles, tendons, and nerves. When applied correctly, athletic tape creates a natural extension of your skin and the support it offers. Because of the added protection on the affected area, pain is reduced, because the pain receptors and nerve endings are naturally interrupted. As a result, you feel less pain, and you do not focus on it, so the body is able to heal the area faster.

Is There a Difference Between Sports Tape Products?

There is a noticeable difference between the various sports tape products on the market. Standard tape is meant to be used while participating in the sport, during rehabilitative exercises, and other short periods of time. It is not designed to be left on the body for long periods of time, nor is it waterproof. SpiderTech tape, on the other hand, is made from latex-free pure cotton and waterproof materials. It is meant to be worn for up to five days at a time on areas of the body where it hurts.

How to Use SpiderTech Tape Like Li Na

To get tape like Li Na you will need our Spider Tape rolls and our Y Power Strips. Take one Y Power Strip and anchor it roughly 3 inches above the knee and tape downwards (spread Y around the middle over the knee cap). Now taking the roll, a piece should be cut 12-15 inches and be applied on the outer side of the knee, brought under the knee cap and over the bottom of the Y Power Strip, then onto the upper inner side of the knee (as shown on the cover of the magazine). You may need to try this a couple times before you get the hang of it. Or you can try our pre-cut upper knee spider that is pre-cut and ready to go.

  • A Special Type of Athletic Tape for Your Knee Is Kinesiology Tape

Kinesiology tape for your knee is a special type of sports tape which integrates naturally with your skin. The tape is designed to mimic the elasticity and thickness of the skin to provide added support while stabilizing the knee, without affecting the normal range of motion. The tape can be worn by athletes, joggers, runners, walkers, and anyone else with knee problems. Whether you are looking for a way to prevent injuries, or have knee problems, this kind of tape is designed to be used for both purposes.

You will find kinesiology tape for your knee offered as pre-cut designs, including full knee and upper knee designs, as well as on rolls. Using precut designs is recommended, because you do not have to worry about measuring tape, applying it in the exact location, and being able to replicate similar results every time you use it. Precut patterns allow you to produce similar results every single time, help prevent waste, and make it easier to apply the product on your own without any additional help.

Prior to applying the pre-cut kinesiology tape, you need to make sure the area is clean and dry. It is also suggested you shave hair in the application area; otherwise, when you remove the tape, it can pull on the hair and be uncomfortable for some people. Next, review the enclosed application instructions in detail before applying the tape, as they are designed to step you through the entire application process from start to finish, and refer to them as you apply the tape to your knee. • Who Uses SpiderTech Taping Products?

Many different people use SpiderTech taping products for various reasons, including professional athletes, fitness trainers, physical therapists, doctors, and normal people. How they use the sports tape products depends upon the results they require for the type of activity or injury being treated. For instance, prior to participating in rigorous sports, applying athletic tape to the muscle groups on the legs, back, arms, shoulder, and other areas of the body help reduce the likelihood of sustaining injuries. The tape provides additional support to the muscle groups, without affecting the normal range of motion while preventing overextending.

Treating injuries with SpiderTech taping products helps reduce healing times, lowers pain, and offers added protection to sprained, strained, and torn muscles in the body. The tape creates a natural extension to the skin. The body’s nerve endings provide feedback to the brain over the entire area where the sports tape is applied. As a result, the pain receptors are not primarily focused on the specific site of the injury, so signals sent to the brain about pain are decreased. Since you are not focused on your pain and discomfort, you are able to function normally within the limits prescribed by your physical therapist or doctor.

To learn more about SpiderTech taping products, feel free to explore our website, or give us a call at 1-866-270-1753 if you have further questions. Our products are latex free, waterproof, and designed to be worn for up to five days at a time.
