How To Apply Upper Knee Kinesiology Tape
Let’s talk about how to apply the Upper Knee spider. This is a very simple application and you can self apply it. All you have to do is follow the numbers sections; there are three.
You are going to turn the tape around so that the numbers are facing you.
Fold along the black line and tear through the paper along the perforation. Tear completely through the paper for each section.
You're going to hold onto section 2 and peel off section 1 completely.
Hold onto the other section 2 so that you are never touching this adhesive.
Center the tape under your knee.
Lay the tape down and follow it along with your fingers and rub over the top of the tape to activate the glue.
Once you have done that, section one is stuck to your skin.
You are going to peel off the backing of section 2, up to about the crease. You are going to swing around the outside of the kneecap and end up towards the inside of the thigh.
Hold onto the paper backing of 3 to make sure that the end of section 2 is straight. Rub over the top of the tape to make sure that the tape is stuck to the skin.
Repeat for section 2. Peel off most of the paper, hold the paper tab, bring it around the kneecap with a little bit of stretch and have it end up along the outside of the thigh, holding onto section 3. Rub over the tape to activate the glue.
Sections 3 lay on the skin just down on a vertical. Straighten the knee, bring out the leg out to the side to stretch the inside.
Peel off most of the paper so that you have a paper tab of section 3 and lay the tape down without any stretch. Rub over the top of the tape to make sure section 3 is stuck to your skin.
Bring the leg across, peel off the paper backing, hold that paper tab, lay it down without any stretch.
The tape should not end on the other end of the tape.
Rub over the tape to make sure that all of the sections are applied.
