Spidertech - Pro Rolls

SpiderTech™ Pro Rolls uses industry trusted and proven material from the original kinesiology taping manufacturer from Japan, Nitto Denko. They are made from high-grade, 98-2% cotton-elastic material with a 100% acrylic adhesive.

The tape has a very specific elasticity built into the weave pattern of the cotton fabric, which mimics the elasticity and thickness of human skin, allowing it to integrate, support and stabilize without adversely affecting healthy ranges of motion. SpiderTech achieves its therapeutic effect naturally by either providing structural support or by altering the patient’s sensation of pain which is dependent on how the tape is applied.

Structurally, if the tape is stretched and applied over muscles in a shortened position it will provide a mechanical barrier to potentially harmful postures and ranges of motion. It effectively lifts the skin away from the muscle so that all of the small veins and capillaries can run freely and openly, bringing increased blood and oxygen to the area in pain, allowing it to heal quickly and promote increased recovery. On a neurosensory level, SpiderTech helps to normalize the alterations in neurological signaling that occur after injury or as a result of chronic pain.

How to Apply

We always recommend stretching the muscle not the tape, but if your application requires tension please follow these suggested steps.

Step 1: Cut your strip to the size needed, round the corners, and then extend the muscle you are taping so it is fully stretched.

Step 2: Anchor initial 1-inch of the strip. (apply with 0% tension).

Step 3: Apply the needed amount of tension through the center section of the tape (no more than 50% is recommended).

Step 4: Anchor final 1-inch of the strip (apply with 0% tension), and then gently rub to activate the adhesive.

How to Remove

Step 1: Pull Skin tight to create tension under the tape.

Step 2: Gently roll the tape in the direction of hair growth (generally from the center of the body out).

Helpful Tip: To make removal easier, apply oil to the tape and let soak for 5-10 mins.

FAQ

What is the difference between the Pro Roll and the Standard Roll?
Our Pro Roll is sourced from the original manufacturer of kinesiology tape, Nitto Denko, and is able to be applied with a small amount of tension.

Is there any difference in the four colors?
SpiderTech Pro Rolls are available in four different colors, beige, black, blue and pink. However, there are no known manufacturing or therapeutic differences among the different colors.

What can cause the corners of the tape to roll up?
When applying SpiderTech Tape first make sure the skin is clean, dry, and free from any hair or oils and that minimal tension is applied to the tape. When wearing kinesiology tape beneath tight fitting clothing it is important to be mindful of clothes rubbing/catching on the tape when getting dressed. Once tape-to-skin contact is lost the tape does not re-adhere as strongly and will usually start to roll off from that location.

Can the tape be reused?
SpiderTech Pro Rolls are designed for one-time use and cannot be reapplied after they have been removed. Each application is designed to be worn continuously for multiple days.
